Based on my own experience
I was too busy while working for Nomura Securities with overseas business trip and OT to maintain good diet for myself. I started having skin troubles and my immunity system went down in late 20’s. My mother sent me Aojiru package for worrying about me. This was the first time to have my Aojiru experience.
I spent much longer time in office than home at the time, so I brought them to my office.
I was hesitated to drink it openly, because my impression of Aojiru was for elderly and package was not fancy at all.
In real data, 70% of age range of Aojiru buyer is 50’s-80’s.
I could not keep drinking it because taste was not pleasant.
Behind story of the product development
The first thing I did was finding the factory to produce own Aojiru product.
I visited hundred of factories all over Japan to see with my own eye to find the best one to meet my goal. I met one manufacture to produce cold-pressed Aojiru which is totally different way and I believed firmly how high the quality of the product compares with former method one.
Most of Aojiru product use heat to dry barely grass and crushed them to powder. We use barely grasses from contracted firm and cold-pressed in same day of harvest and make the juice to powder to make our product.
That’s why the product is excellent absorbency, vivid green color, smooth taste, easy to drink and mix easily without shaker. We tried many different compositions of ingredients to seek the best nutrition balance, smooth tase and aftertaste over a year. I committed to chose right partner not only has knowledge and skills to produce but also has high reliability not make concessions to produce the best composition as a team.
We held tasting event for wide range of age over and over to get review and comment to improve before making final product.
This “beyond imagination” Setouchi Lemon Aojiru is the product we finally reached.
